Eagles get a win, too little too late?

The Eagles got a surprise win against the Dallas Cowboys on Sunday. They buckled down and beat the Cowboys in a low scoring battle 10-6. Is this win too little too late for the Eagles? They hang by a string for the slimmest of chances to make the playoffs.

Tune into this week's show on Wednesday night for Rich and Jim's review of the game, and what we see for the Eagles to finish out their season. Tune into our show live and participate on the show. You can call the show, or connect via your microphone equipped computer. Just go to talkshoe.com and download their client software to connect to the fine talkshoe podcasts, or of course you can tune into the show here on our page or later via iTunes download.

Introducing your 2008 'Pillies'

That's no spelling error, the "Pill" ies - today's Mitchell reports casted it's light on the seemier side of the sport. Lenny 'Nails' Dykstra, Paul Byrd, Gary Bennett, and Todd Pratt all named as users of steroids.

This was a huge problem in baseball, I don't think anyone really noticed the scope of how big it really was, and that is just names from this report. There are probably many more players that used and use steroids to this day even.

Some of the higher profile players, Clemens, Pettite, and Tejeda all are still playing and sucking up space that a player that doesn't use steroids could be occupying. I want to hear what MLB baseball will do about this matter, it has tainted the game and brought more terrible attention to the game.

Aaron Rowand now a 'San Francisco Treat' :)

Aaron Rowand is a Phillie no more! He's packed his bags and he's off to San Francisco, the city by the bay. The Phils didn't feel he was the real deal, and didn't offer what it took to make Rowand their star center fielder anymore.

What impact does this have on the Phils? The team to watch out for is Ed Wade's Houston Astros, the man can flat out deal for players. Call him what you will, but he's almost made Houston a contender overnight.

Hear all about this in our Show 68 of Philly Sports Talk Now! Listen here on our page, you can download the mp3 at our download page or listen to us by going to iTunes and downloading the show.

Show 67 - Philly Sports Talk Now!

This show Rich and Jim talk about the woeful Eagles, they take on the Giants this week. Can Donovan deliver a victory? Las Vegas favors the Eagles, but we're not so sure about that.

The Phillies winter meetings continue. Can Gillick deliver a pitcher, or has he just given up? Iguchi may be back in a Phillies uniform, time will tell though. The Baseball Hall of Fame announces its inductees on January 8th. We give you some possibles on that.

You can now listen to our past shows near the top of this page of our blog, or by going to our host, www.talkshoe.com and looking up our show, Philly Sports Talk. You can now participate in the show as well, by joining the show either via telephone or on the computer.

Wade builds the Astros

The Phillies former GM may not be the push over we all started to think of him when he was here in Philadelphia. Ed Wade is quietly assembling what looks on paper to be a real great start for the 'rebuilt' Astros.

Wade signed Kaz Matsui over the weekend and that signing bolsters the 'Stros lineup to a great degree. Watch out for those Astros next season.

Our next show is Wednesday night at 6:45 pm Eastern, if you want to participate it's easy to do. You can call us or connect to the Talkshoe network via your computer and downloading their client.
