Bonds faces the music on steriods rap....

Barry Bonds was finally served his papers for lying to a Federal Grand Jury in regards to his use of steroids today. We've been wondering when and if anything would be done in reference to this for the past year or so. Bonds broke Henry Aaron's record and currently sits atop all home run hitters in the MLB at 762 homeruns. Bonds may have played his last game as he is now facing legal problems as well as not having been picked up by any Major League team now that he is a free agent.

You can't take lying to a Federal Grand Jury too lightly, this makes all of Bonds accomplishments subject to be banned for life by the baseball gods as happened to Pete Rose. This ordeal will no doubt be dragging through the courts in the off season, and it will be interesting to see what happens next. Bonds was taunted unmercifully by fans all over baseball this past season, and now the law may have the final say in Barry's immediate future.
