Whatever it takes, Phils need to win Game 2

The Phillies were either in awe of being in the playoffs today, or extremely nervous at being in the playoffs for the first time in 13 + years. It was probably a combination of both. The team looked like a deflated balloon after their big win on Sunday to take the NL East. Their work isn't done yet, and now they must answer the Rockies with a win on Thursday or face an early elimination from the playoffs.

Cole Hamels got roughed up a bit, and the offense except for Rowand and Burrell's homeruns looked like a bunch of guys facing a tough pitcher and them striking out and not being able to hit him. They only got outscored by a score of 4-2 but that is the first game in the history books. Game 2 must be an all of nothing approach.

I may be the only person who didn't like to see Adam Eaton being left off the roster in this series. I think Tom Gordon is finished, he's given up big hits so many times down the stretch and he is totally unreliable. It is almost like he is serving up batting practice sometimes. This is Gordon's 20th season and hopefully his last in a Phillies uniform. I would have went with Eaton over Gordon even for a bullpen roll.
