Eagles lose the game, and McNabb for a year.. Not good!

What is an ACL tear? Philly Sports Talk Now! shows you the painful truth!

The Philadelphia Eagles lost the mainstay of the team this afternoon in their game against the Tenn. Titans. Donovan McNabb was injured.

Here's an excerpt of the story by the Associated Press:

>>>> The biggest blow came in Philadelphia, where the Eagles' McNabb suffered a torn ligament in his right knee after tumbling out of bounds in the second quarter of a 31-13 loss to the Tennessee Titans.

“That's normally an eight-month-to-a-year injury,” Eagles coach Andy Reid said of McNabb's torn ACL, “so he's done for the year.”

That puts McNabb's timetable for recovery anywhere between July and the middle of next season.

“He's got some hard work ahead of him,” Reid said. “He'll get after it.”

It's the third time in five years McNabb's season ended early, and with Philadelphia just 5-5 the Eagles' playoff chances seem bleak.

McNabb, a five-time Pro Bowler, was rolling to his right near the Titans sideline and tumbled out of bounds after throwing an incomplete pass. He grabbed his leg and was immediately tended to by trainers. He was carted off the field, and replaced by Jeff Garcia. <<<<

It maybe the end of the season for the Eagles as well, they lost the game against the Titans 31-13 and reverted back to their old 'Jeckyll and Hyde' act in which they show up as a totally different team. Jeff Garcia came into the game to backup the injured McNabb but couldn't save the day as mistakes and dropped passes ended the Eagles hopes of winning this game.
