Moyer signs with Phils for 2 seasons!

Jamie Moyer, who by the way turns 43 in less than a month has signed a 2 year deal with the Philies that is worth more than $10 million, more with incentives. I liked getting Jamie down the stretch, will he last two more years? Time will tell, and of course so will his pitching. The Phils still seem to want to deal 'Pat The Bat' Burrell. I am not sure why other than the Phils still owe him a ton of money and he didn't seem to have that great of a year last season. Pat batted only .222 all season with runners in scoring position this may be a big reason to deal him. Despite that, he still had 29 homeruns and 95 rbi's not too shabby, but individual statistics don't tell the whole story. The Phils need team players that can move runners and then they of course will score more runs!!

Pat's still a Phil in my eyes, the pieces of the puzzle are coming together. They just need one more dominent pitcher, I am thinking Willis from the Marlins. We'll see how serious the Phils are this off season.
